    Easton, PA-March 17, 1999---The Bethlehem Corporation, (AMEX-BET), a world leader providing thermal and filtration process solutions, equipment, systems and technology, has acquired the assets of the Paper Digester Services, Division of Voith Sulzer Paper Technology of Portland, Oregon. The newly acquired operation will be a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Bethlehem Corporation and will operate under the name, Bethlehem Thermal, LLC. Mr. Joseph Schnabel, who over the past 10 years, developed Voith's totally automated Metal Arc Spray Systems for the protective coating of Batch Digester internals along with a comprehensive quality and inspection program, will serve as the Technical and Field Applications Manager. Mr. Richard Frederick, who acted as Engineering Manager and Sales Manager for The Bethlehem Corporation's Subcontract Manufacturing Division, will serve as Vice President and General Manager of Bethlehem Thermal, LLC. Bethlehem Thermal will continue to focus on the U.S. and Canadian Pulp and Paper Industries and plans to expand its services into the Chemical, Petrochemical and Marine Industries. Bethlehem Thermal will expand its Automated Thermal Spray Systems to include Plasma and HVOF technology. | ||||||||||
